- my work started way back in 2012 with Rwanda Education Board , They Advertised in papers seeking for English language teachers from the EastAfrican countries of kenya and uganda given that they have commonwealth background that is connected to English language.i applied and i was later called for interviews which i passed later given appointment letter. I travelled to Rwanda ,i was later posted to Groupe scolaire Rubona in Rwamagana District in Eastern Rwanda: My duties were as follows, training teachers on learner centered teaching methodologies using English as a medium of communication, teaching learners to practice speaking English through debates, discussions and story telling meant to enhance on their command of ENGLISH language. Teachers were also trained by me on communication skills. the nature of work was quite challenging since it was in a rural area where by i was not conversant with the local language this brought about language barrier whenever i tried to communicate with the local population. since the education system in Rwanda was French and kinyarwanda based this form of transition clashed with English hence giving me hard time to convice both teachers and their learners to appreciate the value of learning english language. Time was always another challenge while cascading learning materials to the learners
